Question 1: What does the Kimono rental include?
Answer:
The Kimono rental includes the kimono, obi (belt), accessories, tabi (traditional socks), and geta or zori (traditional footwear).
We also provide dressing assistance and a basic hairstyle set free of charge.
Question 2: Can I leave my items at the store?
Answer:
The staff will give you a bag to hold your personal belongings, you put all your personal belongings in the bag and leave it at the store. Important items such as phones, wallets or watches should be kept by the customer and kept safe.
Question 3: How long does it take to get dressed for hair and makeup?
Answer:
On average, it takes about 10 minutes to wear a male Kimono. 10~20 minutes for a female Kimono, depending on the set. Hairstyling: 5~10 minutes, depending on the style Makeup time: about 40~50 minutes.
Question 4: Can I pre-order the set I like?
Answer:
SHINMII recommends that you come to the store to choose the outfit, which will be more diverse than in the photo. However, if you like a certain outfit, you can contact the store to order in advance.
Question 5: How long is the Kimono rental period?
Answer:
Opening hours are 9:00~18:00, you can make an appointment and come to wear from the time you finish changing until 17:45 Contact the store if you want to come early or return later. If you want to rent overnight or for many days, please contact in advance for support. (Overtime rental fee will be calculated separately)
Question 6: Can I choose my hairstyle when renting Kimono?
Answer:
At SHINMII, for women’s rental packages, you will get a free basic hairdo.
PHOTO SHOOTING SERVICE
Question 1: Does the studio choose the location?
Answer:
Sensoji Temple is only 2~3 minutes walk away, or you can also choose a location you like and contact the studio in advance.
If you take photos at a location other than Sensoji Temple, the shooting fee, entrance fee or taxi will be charged in addition to the combo
Question 2: Do I need to make an appointment for the photo shoot before coming?
Answer:
SHINMII encourages you to make an appointment in advance to ensure there are enough staff to support you to have the most satisfactory photo shoot. You can book via the website, or message.
Question 3: How long does it take to take photos?
Answer:
Photoshooting time is about 1~2 hours
Question 4: Can I choose my outfit?
Answer:
You can absolutely choose the outfit you like in the package you choose.
Question 5: Do I need to return the items after taking the photos?
Answer:
After taking the photos, you can go out and return the items before the store closes.
Question 6: If you take a group photo of 2-3 women or 2 couples, can you take a single photo or just a group photo?
Answer:
You can discuss with the photographer in advance whether you want to take more single or couple photos, the photographer will prioritize taking photos according to your wishes.
Question 7: Can I take 2 Kimono or 1 Kimono and 1 Hanbok?
Answer:
In the photo package, you will be able to choose and take a photo of one outfit. If you want to take 1 or 2 more outfits, you can discuss with the shop. The price of renting additional outfits and taking photos will depend on the type of outfit you choose.
